Overview
A mobile onboarding app that allows new energy customers to complete sign-up in minutes through a fast, guided, and fully digital experience.
Protergia, the largest independent electricity producer in Greece, partnered with Trebbble to redesign its customer onboarding journey as part of a broader digital transformation initiative. The goal was to accelerate customer acquisition, reduce drop-out rates, and automate manual back-office processes through a mobile-first experience.
Trebbble designed and developed Protergia On, an iOS and Android app that enables users to complete their onboarding in under five minutes. The experience removes unnecessary steps, minimises data entry, and guides users clearly through each stage of the process. Document submission, application tracking, and status visibility are handled entirely within the app, eliminating fragmented flows and offline interactions.
By digitising and automating critical onboarding steps, Protergia On helps reduce operational costs while improving conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction.

Challenge
The main challenge was simplifying a traditionally complex and time-consuming energy onboarding process without compromising accuracy, compliance, or operational requirements. Protergia needed to attract new customers—particularly younger, mobile-first users—while reducing abandonment during sign-up and lowering customer acquisition costs.
Trebbble designed a mobile onboarding flow that balances speed, clarity, and trust. The app enables users to submit documents directly from their smartphone, track application progress in real time, and manage multiple applications through a single interface. Delivering this level of simplicity while automating internal workflows and maintaining reliability across iOS and Android was critical to the project’s success.
