Overview
Powering one of Greece's most-used apps, helping NOVA postpaid customers manage usage, bills, and add-ons effortlessly.
Trebbble partnered with NOVA, one of Greece's largest telecommunications operators, to design, engineer, and deliver the brand-new NOVA mobile app for postpaid subscribers on iOS and Android.
At this scale, the margin for error is essentially zero. A telecom app isn't a nice-to-have. It's the primary self-service channel for millions of customers checking balances, paying bills, activating add-ons, and managing their contracts. When it fails, or slows down, or behaves inconsistently across devices, the impact on customer trust is immediate and measurable.
Our role was to build an app that works reliably, consistently, and fast across the full range of iOS and Android devices and operating system versions that NOVA's subscriber base actually uses. This meant robust native mobile app development, tight API integrations with NOVA's billing and account management infrastructure, and custom cloud services engineered to handle real-world telecom data at enterprise volume.
The result is a mobile product that gives subscribers frictionless access to their contract details, data usage, call time, SMS balances, billing history, and add-on services. Every interaction is designed to complete quickly and predictably, because in a telecom context, that's not a feature — it's the baseline expectation.

Challenge
The technical complexity of a project like NOVA isn't visible to end users — and that's exactly the point. Subscribers don't think about API calls, session management, or billing system integrations. They just expect the app to show them the right number when they open it, and to take their payment when they tap the button.
Delivering that invisible reliability required solving a series of real engineering challenges under tight time constraints. NOVA's subscriber data lives across multiple backend systems, and our job was to consume, aggregate, and surface that data in real time, accurately, for each individual user.
Beyond data, we needed to ensure consistent, high-quality performance across a fragmented device landscape. NOVA's user base spans a wide range of iOS and Android devices and OS versions, including tablets. Enterprise-level QA, rigorous testing across the device matrix, and a disciplined approach to native platform development were all essential to hitting the performance bar a project of this profile demands.
